a photographic project
to document Alpine glaciers

Trained as a graphic designer and photographer, I work as an art director at a communications agency in Neuchâtel. With a passion for the mountains and nature photography, my work now focuses on photographing Swiss glaciers and Alpine landscapes shaped by time, ice and climate change.

The Gletscher Project was born out of a defining experience: the discovery of the Arolla ice cave in Valais, observed shortly before its collapse in the summer of 2022. This event acted as a catalyst. Since then, I have been documenting the evolution of this site as well as that of the Alpine glaciers, visible witnesses to climate change in the mountains.

Through an approach that is both artistic and documentary, this project aims to make the gradual disappearance of glaciers more tangible. Photography becomes a tool for memory and raising awareness, enabling us to preserve a record of these ephemeral ice landscapes. It also invites us to question our relationship with the mountains, in the face of the rapid and irreversible changes currently affecting Alpine ecosystems.
